For our first weigh in we have decided to include all the food waste and paper towel waste in our figures even though we have found a new home for them! We won't include them from the second week onwards so that the children see the difference it has made.

The fact that some of the puppet show was in
Welsh first and English after was great as it really made us use our
brains. Many of our Governors, our Lady Mayor, the Vicar, local business
people, representatives for Montgomery Energy Group and of course the
press came to watch!

As a result it was suggested that we contact Cwm Harry who have agreed to
support us for 6 weeks free of charge, providing us with bins to collect
our food waste which they then take away to recycle. They have also agreed
to take our used paper towels which we mix in with the food waste. During
week 2 they will come in to give us a talk on their work.
Altogether this has been a very positive week with support from the whole
school community.
